Vision Brings Community Garden to City Hall

Following Vision's campaign pledge to make sustainability a top priority while in office, Mayor Gregor Robertson and the Vision team will be converting City Hall’s lawn into a community garden. The garden is the first of many “quick start” recommendations coming from Vancouver’s new Greenest City Action Team. “If we want Vancouver to be truly sustainable, City Hall needs to lead the way,” said Mayor Gregor Robertson. “By converting our lawn, we’re walking the talk when it comes to producing and consuming local food.” The city will be partnering on this initiative with SPEC (Society Promoting Environmental Conservation).
